What is inside

Before you begin

Pick one quiet hour and protect it. Gather the places your thinking lives: AI chats, notes, journals, voice memos, photos, drafts, screenshots. Keep a pen and paper nearby.

The ritual

The eight-step checklist, to work through in any order, as much as the hour allows:

  1. Revisit important conversations
  2. Export meaningful work
  3. Organize unfinished ideas
  4. Preserve voice memos and notes
  5. Back up photos and documents
  6. Recover forgotten drafts
  7. Continue abandoned projects
  8. Save what still matters

Quiet prompts

Four questions for the hour:

  1. What did I think this quarter that still matters?
  2. What would I be glad to find again a year from now?
  3. What is one unfinished idea worth continuing?
  4. What did I almost lose this quarter?

Notes

A full second page of lined space, because the hour always produces something worth writing down.

There are no rules. One hour is enough.
The point is not perfection. The point is preservation.

Saving a thought is not a promise to finish it.
